The Experience
Upon arrival, I was ushered to a cosy consultation booth, where I was presented with a cup of tea, and a consultation form to determine the targeted areas that I’d like the therapist to focus on during the massage therapy session. I was then led to one of the lush rooms rooms to begin my ‘Mineral Indulgence’ treatment.
The spa session started off with a foot treatment infused with menthol, rosemary, pine and lavender, which helped ease muscle tension, joint stiffness and fatigue. This was followed by the exfoliation of skin, using unique brushing techniques and natural ingredients, to draw deep impurities out of the body. Next, I was treated to a pampering massage using a magnesium-rich lotion, organic shea butter and coconut oil to soften skin and provide a sense of calm. The therapeutic massage combined Swedish and hot stone techniques with gentle to medium pressure, a process that soothed the discomfort in my tight muscles and left me feeling refreshed and recharged.
The outstanding professionalism at The Spa impressed me. My therapist kept communication at a minimum and spoke only when she was explaining the procedure, which allowed me to truly relax and be lulled to sleep. Good recommendations of products and advice from the therapist also reaffirmed the fact that I was in good hands.
Modelled after the artisanal qualities of heritage, knowledge, craft and skill, The Spa at Mandarin Oriental Singapore is an inner-city gateway to seventh heaven. We highly recommend trying one of the facial or body treatments from the new Beauty range. The former consists of the Caviar Signature Facial ($380), Advanced Repair Facial ($350), and Brightening Facial ($280), while the latter comprises the pure pampering Luminous Glow ($380) or Mineral Indulgence ($380) body treatment.
From now till June 30, guests who book any Beauty by Mandarin Oriental facial can enjoy a 25% discount for their first treatment on Mondays to Fridays (conditions apply).
